About ME
Alexandra (Ali) Smits provides traditional, unbundled, and Collaborative Law representation in all areas of family law including complex divorce, child custody, child support modification, and adoption. Ali is also a trained mediator and regularly mediates family law disputes for pro se and represented parties. Understanding the financial and emotional toll of family law disputes, Ali strives to move her clients through the transition of divorce while minimizing conflict and expense.
Ali is the current President of the Board of Directors of Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee (MDIC), a non-profit organization comprised of attorneys and mental health professionals focused on Family Law issues. Ali also served on the Board of Directors of Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals (CCDP) from 2014-2016 and is a founding member of the Denver Source for Collaborative Divorce (DSCD), a Denver-based collaborative law practice group.
