About ME
I am a CPA, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, and founded my company, Banfield Divorce Financial Advisors LLC, in 2017. I help people facing divorce understand the financial complexities of divorce so they can untangle their shared finances without mistakes and with as little conflict and collateral damage as possible. I help navigate the financial chaos and confusion of divorce so you can move on and live happily ever after.
As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, I am skilled in the unique niche of divorce financial analysis, and I have training in both mediation and collaborative divorce. I volunteer as a mediator with Jefferson County Mediation Services, helping facilitate post-decree agreements between parents.
My previous work experience includes over 30 years as an auditor in both public accounting and internal audit settings, and as an accountant and financial analyst for a variety of companies in a variety of industries. I maintain a big-picture orientation with meticulous attention to detail, balancing analytical, strategic thinking with insight and empathy.
I work exclusively as a divorce financial analyst, and not as a wealth manager. I am not looking to gather “assets under management” or sell insurance, annuities or any other product. I am passionate about helping you through a painful chapter of your life so you can move on to the next phase.
I have a son and daughter who are both (almost) adults and have nearly flown the nest. In my spare time I like to read, garden, cook and throw the ball to our dog, Tilly, a Border Collie mix.
